Day 3: Shoulders & Arms

Today, I got home from school and wasn't feeling it. I would have rather caught up on my DVR shows. BUT, as soon as I finished my paper for school, I told myself I was just going to do it. So, I changed my clothes and put in the DVD. There was no turning back. I grabbed myself a glass of water and pushed the coffee table to the side. I was ready to start and wasn't going to stop until the hour was over.
This DVD is definitely one of my couple of favorites. I like the Yoga one, but the speed of the flow is a little too fast for me at my level. This one, Shoulders and Arms, I really like because it's a different kind of feel. My heart's not necessarily pumping out of my chest the entire hour. I feel it deep in my arm muscles. It's a nice change of pace from the Plyo or the first half of Yoga, where I'm dripping sweat off my face.

I'm proud of myself that I got started, and even more proud of myself for sticking through it all and even doing the "bonus round" towards the end! Since I was doing it alone today, (usually I do it with Jesus) I was afraid that I may skim through, but I surprised myself with the level of motivation I had...alone. I'm definitely going to keep this pace and hope that the days to come are going to be as easy as today was. The next three days I have long work days and it's expected to snow (we'll see how well that prediction plays out) so I may be pooped from the VERY long drives to and from my work classes this week. But if it indeed snows, and my classes are cancelled, I'll be able to have the energy to definitely get through all three days of the workouts.

I'm really looking forward to see my progression, not only with my weight and how I feel, but also with my level of progression; if things are going to become easier. Last time we tried the series, we only got through a week, so I will absolutely get farther than last time. I'm determined this time and I think I'm a little less intimidated since this time, I know what to expect.

I'll be checking in tomorrow, and hopefully tomorrow's workout will be as much of a success as today's
:)
